You love the roses - so do I. I wish The sky would rain down roses, as they rain From off the shaken bush. Why will it not? Then all the valley would be pink and white And soft to tread on. They would fall as light As feathers, smelling sweet; and it would be Like sleeping and like waking, all at once!

Oh my God. Can't the Gossip Witch find someone OTHER than my sister to talk about? Lavender may be doing things at a faster pace than what might be 'expected' of her, but she's always done things her own way. She's happy and in a good place. Why does that piece of trash have to say such nasty things about how she's living her life?

I may or may not have just gotten into a drinking game with 1 of the guests who is staying at the inn right now.
Heh. Glad I'm not on call for emergencies and needy guests tonight.

SO- I'm kind of hurt that none of you took me up on my offer to help me celebrate my birthday. It's not every year that a girl turns nineteen, you know. In fact, it only happens once in a lifetime and all of you missed it. Well, except for Ven, but she doesn't count.
We had a fancy dinner on my actual birthday at the inn and everyone who was having supper when mum brought my cake out sang to me, which was kind of embarrassing, but mostly really ace. Anyway, that was Monday and then I had to wait until the next Saturday to have my REAL party because that's when the largest number of my mates were free and having your birthday party before your birthday is kind of silly. THAT was the one you really missed out on. I don't exactly remember how I got home, but I made it in one piece and didn't vomit, so I call the night a solid win.
Nineteen isn't all that different from eighteen, but at least I'm one year closer to be people not treating me like a complete child any more.

You guys- I know most of you are closer to Ven's age than mine, but do you remember my hair? Blonde and down to my arse? Well it's all gone! I decided I needed to start the new year off with a bit of a change, so I went and cut it off! I never really minded having long hair but now that it’s gone I feel so much lighter. It’s pretty strange running my hands through what’s left and running out hair long before I expect to, but being able to swish my hair around my face is a pretty awesome feeling.
I don’t really have any resolutions, but for 2006 I want to do more new things. I’ve spent all of this time adjusting to living at home and working for the inn full-time and now I want to try and go out and do things outside of Brighton. See shows. Learn to paint. Go skinny-dipping. Whatever! If an opportunity comes up I want to take it.
Do any of you have grand plans for the tenth? As in five days from now? Because if you DON'T, it's my birthday and I want to do something amazing. I'm not quite sure what yet, but let me know if you want to come and I'll let you know what's going on!
